Arizona Christian went 0-1-1 last week, falling 3-1 to Park Gilbert before earning a 1-1 draw with OUAZ. Edith Delgado scored the Firestorm’s goal against Park Gilbert, while Rian Gaeta found the net against OUAZ. Gaeta was one of Arizona Christian’s most active attacking players during the week, finishing with four shots and two shots on goal.

The Firestorm continue to rank among the GSAC leaders defensively, sitting second in the conference with 7.00 saves per game and third with an .824 save percentage. Arizona Christian enters the week at 0-1-1 in conference play and will have two opportunities to change that mark, beginning Thursday against La Sierra. The Firestorm then host No. 5 Embry-Riddle on Saturday.

Benedictine Mesa split its two matches last week, opening with a 7-0 victory over Justice before falling 10-1 to No. 5 Embry-Riddle. Rebecca Tomerlin provided the Redhawks’ goal against the Eagles, while goalkeeper Nenna Ford faced a busy week and totaled 18 saves across the two matches.

Ford’s performance added to a season in which she has emerged as one of the conference’s leaders in goal. She enters the week tied for the GSAC lead with 37 saves, while Benedictine Mesa leads the conference with 10.25 saves per game. The Redhawks return to conference play with a pair of home matches, hosting Soka on Thursday before welcoming Hope International on Saturday.

No. 5 Embry-Riddle continued its unbeaten start with three victories last week, improving to 5-0-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Eagles produced 21 goals across the three matches, defeating OUAZ 8-0 and Benedictine Mesa 10-1 in conference play before closing the week with a 3-0 victory over La Sierra. The three-win week extended Embry-Riddle’s winning streak to three matches and kept the Eagles alone atop the GSAC standings.

Jamie Brandon was at the center of the offensive production, scoring twice against OUAZ before recording a hat trick against Benedictine Mesa. Her five-goal conference week earned her GSAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. Brandon now leads the conference with seven goals, 14 points, 51 shots and 26 shots on goal. Maile Kahele completed an Embry-Riddle sweep of the weekly awards after making three saves in the shutout at OUAZ to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Eagles also continue to set the pace in several team statistical categories. Embry-Riddle leads the GSAC in goals per game, shots per game, shots on goal per game, goals-against average and save percentage and ranks among the conference’s top three in eight statistical categories. Kaitlyn Roskopf also enters the week four shots on goal shy of 50 for her career. Embry-Riddle’s lone match of the week comes Saturday at Arizona Christian.

Hope International remained perfect in conference play with a 2-1 victory over Soka, extending its winning streak to three matches and improving to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the GSAC. Angely Puga and Hypasha Garcia supplied the goals, with Garcia recording the game-winner.

Puga remains among the conference’s most productive attacking players. She enters the week second in the GSAC with six goals and third with 12 points. Hope International’s production extends beyond Puga, with the Royals ranking third in the conference in goals, assists and points per game. They also rank second in goals-against average.

The Royals face one of the week’s most significant matches Thursday when they visit The Master’s. Both teams enter the matchup unbeaten in conference play, with Hope International at 2-0 and The Master’s at 1-0. The Royals then travel to Benedictine Mesa on Saturday as they continue a stretch of conference matches.

La Sierra faced two of the conference’s top teams last week, falling 4-0 to The Master’s and 3-0 to No. 5 Embry-Riddle. Despite the two losses, goalkeeper Sophia Diaz produced 22 saves across the two matches and moved into a tie for the GSAC lead with 37 saves.

Diaz’s workload also helped move La Sierra to fourth in the conference in saves per game. Her performance was particularly notable during a week in which the Golden Eagles faced a nationally ranked Embry-Riddle team and a The Master’s squad that has won three consecutive matches.

La Sierra returns home Thursday to face Arizona Christian before continuing conference play Tuesday against Soka.

Life Pacific played to a 2-2 draw against Soka in its lone match last week, moving to 1-2-3 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play. Scarlett Rivera and Stevie Spencer have each moved into the top 25 in the GSAC in goals as the Warriors continue through the early portion of their conference schedule.

The draw kept Life Pacific in the top half of the conference standings entering the week. In goal, Natalie Retama enters the upcoming schedule with one career goalkeeper victory.

Life Pacific has one match on the schedule this week, hosting The Master’s on Saturday. The Warriors will face a Mustangs team that enters the matchup on a three-match winning streak and unbeaten in GSAC play.

OUAZ went 0-1-1 last week, opening with an 8-0 loss to No. 5 Embry-Riddle before responding with a 1-1 draw against Arizona Christian. Jocelyn Smith scored the Spirit’s goal in the draw, while Alee Williams contributed an assist and totaled seven shots during the week.

The Spirit’s attacking volume has begun to improve relative to the rest of the conference. OUAZ moved from 10th to seventh in the GSAC in shots per game during the week.

OUAZ begins this week with a home matchup Wednesday against Park Gilbert, which enters on the conference’s longest active winning streak at four matches. The Spirit then host Soka on Saturday before facing Nelson (AZ) on Tuesday.

Park Gilbert continued its strong start with a 3-1 victory over Arizona Christian, extending its winning streak to four matches. The Buccaneers enter the week 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, with their four consecutive victories representing the longest active winning streak in the GSAC.

Park Gilbert’s attack has established itself among the conference’s most productive. The Buccaneers rank among the GSAC’s top three in six offensive categories, leading the conference in assists, points and corners per game while ranking second in goals, shots and shots on goal per game.

Several Buccaneers also appear among the individual conference leaders. Darienne Thompson leads the GSAC with five assists, while Sarai Mizzell is tied for second with six goals and ranks second with 13 points. Ava Fike leads the conference with two game-winning goals. In goal, Journey Morimoto enters the week one victory shy of 10 for her career.

Park Gilbert puts its four-match winning streak on the line Wednesday at OUAZ.

Soka went 0-1-1 last week, dropping a 2-1 decision to Hope International before earning a 2-2 draw against Life Pacific. Bijou Bolton contributed a goal and an assist across the two matches, while Sabrina Benjamin and Valentina Ibañez also scored during the week.

The Lions continue to generate opportunities from set pieces and rank third in the GSAC with 5.83 corner kicks per game.

Soka has a busy conference stretch ahead with three matches on the schedule. The Lions visit Benedictine Mesa on Thursday and OUAZ on Saturday before returning home to face La Sierra on Tuesday.

The Master’s continued its strong run with a 4-0 victory over La Sierra, extending its winning streak to three matches and improving to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Mustangs enter the week as one of four GSAC teams without a conference loss.

The Master’s ranks among the conference’s top three in five statistical categories, including third in shots and shots on goal per game and second in save percentage. Goalkeeper Natalia Ramirez has been a key part of that defensive success and enters the week leading the GSAC with a 0.00 goals-against average and 1.000 save percentage. Offensively, Maddy Traylor is tied for fourth in the conference with five goals.

The Mustangs face one of the week’s most significant conference matchups Thursday when they host Hope International. The Royals enter at 2-0 in GSAC play and riding a three-match winning streak, while The Master’s is 1-0 and has also won three straight. The Mustangs close the week Saturday at Life Pacific.
