Arizona Christian split its two matches last week, earning a 1-0 road victory over Carroll before falling 2-1 to Rocky Mountain. Cadence Peroff scored the game-winner against Carroll, while Rian Gaeta also found the net during the week. Goalkeeper Tayler Wonderly made eight saves in the shutout victory over Carroll to earn GSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Firestorm have emerged as one of the conference’s top defensive teams, leading the GSAC in saves per game at 9.00 and save percentage at .900 while ranking third with a 1.00 goals-against average. Wonderly is second individually with a .900 save percentage and tied for third with 18 saves.

Arizona Christian faces a Park Gilbert team riding a three-match winning streak Thursday before meeting OUAZ on Saturday.

Benedictine Mesa responded to a loss against Southern Oregon with a 7-0 victory over Justice to earn its first win of the season. Rylee Hatcher has three goals and an assist, while Rebecca Tomerlin has contributed two goals and two assists. Michaela Dennehy has also scored and owns the Redhawks’ game-winning goal.

The offensive production helped Benedictine Mesa climb from eighth to fourth in the GSAC in goals, assists and points per game and from eighth to fifth in both shots and shots on goal. Hatcher has 12 career goals, while goalkeeper Nenna Ford leads the conference with 19 saves.

The Redhawks have one match this week, hosting unbeaten No. 3 Embry-Riddle on Saturday.

No. 3 Embry-Riddle remained unbeaten with a 0-0 draw against Southern Oregon in its only match last week. The Eagles enter the week at 2-0-1 and lead the GSAC with 34.00 shots per game and a 0.33 goals-against average. They also rank second in shots on goal, corner kicks and save percentage.

Jamie Brandon leads the conference with 28 shots and 13 shots on goal and has scored twice, while Tessa Updegraff has also scored two goals. Brandon enters the week with 94 career shots on goal, six away from 100, and 14 career assists, one shy of 15.

Embry-Riddle has three matches ahead, facing OUAZ on Thursday, Benedictine Mesa on Saturday and La Sierra on Tuesday.

Hope International went 2-0 last week, defeating Stanton 6-0 before beating La Sierra 3-1 in its GSAC opener. The Royals moved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play while climbing to second in the GSAC in goals, assists and points per game and third in shots on goal per game.

Angely Puga scored four times against Stanton, becoming the fourth player in program history and first since 2017 to produce a four-goal match. The GSAC Offensive Player of the Week now leads the conference with five goals and ranks third with 10 points. Karissa Frerichs has added a goal and three assists.

The Royals put their two-match winning streak on the line Thursday against Soka, which enters the matchup with the conference’s second-best goals-against average at 0.75.

La Sierra split its two matches last week, shutting out Providence 3-0 before falling 3-1 to Hope International in its GSAC opener. The Golden Eagles enter the week at 3-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Danae Burroughs has emerged as one of the GSAC’s early offensive leaders, ranking third with four goals, fourth with eight shots on goal and tied for the conference lead with two game-winning goals. Bianca Ahumada has added two goals, while Priscila Alzaga has recorded two assists.

La Sierra faces two strong opponents this week, hosting The Master's on Friday before meeting unbeaten No. 3 Embry-Riddle on Tuesday.

Life Pacific went 0-1-1 last week, falling 2-0 to Oregon Tech before playing Simpson to a 2-2 draw. Nancy Hinojosa has scored twice this season, while Kayley Buchanan has contributed a goal and two assists. Madison Cardena, Scarlett Rivera and Stevie Spencer have also scored.

Goalkeeper Natalie Retama has made 16 saves, the fourth-highest total in the conference. Mayllery Rodriguez has joined Buchanan with two assists, while Hinojosa has placed three of her six shots on goal.

The Warriors, who enter the week at 1-2-2 overall, return to action Saturday against Soka.

OUAZ earned its first result of the season last week, rebounding from a 3-0 loss to Rocky Mountain to play Carroll to a 1-1 draw. Alee Williams scored the Spirit’s goal, with Meredith Galus providing the assist.

Goalkeeper Eerika Erjansalo has made 10 saves through the opening two matches and enters the week fourth in the GSAC with 5.00 saves per game. She has posted a .714 save percentage, while Desiree Dutra and Grace Otero have each placed two shots on goal.

OUAZ faces unbeaten No. 3 Embry-Riddle on Thursday before meeting Arizona Christian on Saturday.

Park Gilbert enters the week at 4-1 with the GSAC’s longest active winning streak at three matches. The Buccaneers lead the conference in goals per game at 4.80, assists at 3.80, points at 13.40, shots on goal at 14.60 and corner kicks at 10.60 while ranking second with 28.20 shots per match.

The Buccaneers also fill the individual leaderboards. Yadira Bernal leads the GSAC with 12 points and is tied for second with four assists. Ava Fike is tied for the conference lead with five goals, ranks second with 11 points, 23 shots and 12 shots on goal, and leads the GSAC with two game-winning goals. Sarai Mizzell has four goals and nine points, while Darienne Thompson has two goals and three assists.

Park Gilbert puts its three-match winning streak on the line Thursday against Arizona Christian, which leads the conference in saves per game and save percentage.

Soka played Clarke to a 0-0 draw in its only match last week and enters the week at 1-1-2. The Lions have been among the conference’s strongest defensive teams, ranking second with a 0.75 goals-against average and third with an .833 save percentage. They are also third with 5.25 corner kicks per match.

Sabrina Benjamin leads the attack with two goals and has placed eight of her 12 shots on goal. Lillian Dukes has posted a 0.53 goals-against average and .875 save percentage, while Jazlynn Camacho has a 0.94 goals-against average and .800 save percentage.

Soka faces conference-leading Hope International on Thursday before meeting Life Pacific on Saturday.

The Master's went 2-0 without allowing a goal last week, defeating Stanton 4-0 and Westcliff 3-0 to extend its winning streak to two matches. The Mustangs rank third in the GSAC in goals, assists, points, shots and saves per game, while Natalia Ramirez leads the conference with a 0.00 goals-against average and 1.000 save percentage.

Breanna Fajardo leads the GSAC with four assists and has three goals and 10 points. Maddy Traylor has added three goals and an assist, while Autumn Heeb has a goal and an assist. Kegan Brunnemann enters the week seven points shy of 50 for her career, and Bryanna Elias is one assist away from 15.

The Master's takes its two-match winning streak into Friday’s matchup at La Sierra.
