PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Arizona Christian secured a 4-0 victory over Embry-Riddle at the GSAC Softball Tournament to force the double-elimination if game at Eagle Softball Field on Thursday.
Arizona Christian opened the scoring in the second inning when Sierra Lauko doubled to left field, driving in the first run of the game. They extended their lead in the third inning as Dayna Herrera singled to left field to make it 2-0.
]The Firestorm added two more insurance runs in the sixth inning. Morgan Bradford executed a well-placed bunt single to drive in a run, Lauko reached on an error, allowing another run to score, securing the final 4-0 margin.
Herrera went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and she also delivered a dominant performance in the circle, pitching a complete-game shutout while allowing just six hits and striking out three.
The teams will return to the field at 3 p.m. with the 2025 GSAC Softball Tournament title on the line.
