In a decisive showdown at the Surprise Tennis Center on Thursday, the OUAZ Spirit emerged victorious against the Lewis-Clark State Warriors in the GSAC Women's Tennis Championship Match. The Spirit clinched the championship with a final score of 4-1, demonstrating a strong performance under sunny skies.
The championship match saw OUAZ athletes outplay their counterparts in key singles matches. Katherine Frayre Busani led the charge with a tough-fought victory over Heidi Moyo at 7-6, 6-3. Samantha Quezada and Jelizaveta Govrova followed suit, each securing wins with dominating scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively. Antonia Kostoff also contributed significantly to the team's victory with her 6-2, 6-4 win over Naiara Montero.
