The GSAC, in partnership with Under Armour, has announced the 2026 Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team and annual award winners, recognizing the top performers from across the conference following an outstanding season of competition.

Leading this year’s honors is Stanton senior Emilse Ruiz, who has been named GSAC Player of the Year. Ruiz, a native of Tucuman, Argentina, capped a dominant season by anchoring Stanton’s lineup and consistently delivering at the top of the order. Her performance also earned her a place on the All-Conference Team alongside teammate Paula Rodriguez, who was additionally recognized as the GSAC Newcomer of the Year. Rodriguez, a senior from Tarragona, Spain, made an immediate impact in her first season in the conference.

The future of the GSAC is well represented by this year’s Co-Freshmen of the Year, Savannah Salvin of Arizona Christian and Alyssa Johnson of the College of Idaho. Both players emerged as key contributors in their debut seasons, showcasing strong potential and consistency in both singles and doubles play.

Kai Fong of Lewis-Clark State has been named GSAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Warriors to a standout season. Under Fong’s leadership, Lewis-Clark State placed three student-athletes on the All-Conference Team: Cheludo Monnayoo, Naiara Montero, and Rayana Shah, highlighting the program’s depth and success.
