Westmont Wins GSAC All Sports Award

After a one-year hiatus of awarding the GSAC All Sports Award due to the pandemic, Westmont College has claimed the 2021-22 version for the ninth consecutive year as announced by the Golden State Athletic Conference Office today.  The Warriors averaged 8.64 points, to edge The Master's University by .14 average points.  Westmont claimed titles in Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer and Baseball and also had second place finishes in Women's Volleyball, Women's Cross Country and Men's Cross Country.

The Master's University placed second in the All Sports standings with a 8.50 average and three GSAC championships (Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Men's Golf) to go along with three second place finishes.

Vanguard University claimed four titles this season (Men's Soccer, Men's Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Women's Track and Field) and finished in third place.

OUAZ finished in fourth place with titles in Women's Volleyball and Women's Tennis.

Arizona Christiran placed fifth with titles in Men's Basketball and Men's Track and Field.

Schools are awarded 10 points for winning the regular season conference title, 9 points for placing second and so on down the line.  Schools are also given one point for each sport they sponsor in the conference.  The total points are then divided by the number of sports to arrive at the scoring average.
