ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- The GSAC officially welcomes Nevada State University as its newest member institution, effective July 1, 2026.

Located in Henderson, Nevada State becomes the first NAIA institution in the state of Nevada and expands the GSAC's footprint across the western United States. The Scorpions join the conference after earning full NAIA membership approval during the 2026 NAIA National Convention.

Nevada State launched intercollegiate athletics during the 2025-26 academic year with Women's Flag Football and Men's Track & Field. Beginning this fall, the Scorpions will expand their offerings to include Women's Track & Field, Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field, and Men's and Women's Cross Country.

The addition of Nevada State brings the GSAC membership to 11 institutions and further strengthens a conference that has combined to win 55 NAIA national championships.
