The GSAC All Sports Award presented by Duke's Restaurant in Huntington Beach will stay in Santa Barbara for the seventh consecutive season. Westmont College has defended its title yet again with a 9.46 point-average for the year and will keep the trophy beating The Master's University by 0.32 points in the final standings.
The Warriors clinched the top spot with championships in Women's Tennis, Men's Track and Field, and Women's Track and Field. Westmont also had five runner up finishes in Women's Volleyball, Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer, and Women's Basketball.
The Master's University finished in second place with a 9.14 point-average. The Mustangs captured four regular season titles in Men's Cross Country, Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball. Vanguard University finished third (9.08) while winning five titles in Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Golf, and Softball. Arizona Christian University finished fourth (7.97) and William Jessup University in fifth (7.27). Hope International University took sixth place with a score of 7.20 while Menlo College scored 6.67 which was good for seventh place. OUAZ (6.50), San Diego Christian College (4.73) and Life Pacific College (3.67) round out the GSAC All Sports Award standings.
Schools are awarded 10 points for winning the regular season conference title, 9 points for placing second and so on down the line. Schools are also given one point for each sport they sponsor in the conference. The total points are then divided by the number of sports to arrive at the scoring average. This is the seventh year Duke's in Huntington Beach has been a partner with the conference and sponsored the award.
