2017-18 GSAC All Sports Award Presented by Duke's

The GSAC All Sports Award presented by Duke's Restaurant in Huntington Beach will stay in Santa Barbara for the sixth straight season. Westmont College has defended its title yet again with an 8.21 point-average for the year and will keep the trophy beating Vanguard University by 0.76 points in the final standings. 

The Warriors clinched the top spot with championships in Women's Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Men's Track and Field, and Women's Track and Field. Westmont also had runner up finishes in Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Men's Basketball, Women's Tennis, and Baseball.

Vanguard University finished in second place with a 7.45 point-average. The Lions captured three titles in Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, and Softball. The Master's University finished third (6.65) while winning titles in Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, and Men's Basketball. Hope International University finished fourth (5.50) and Arizona Christian University fifth (5.38). Menlo College (5.05), William Jessup University (4.91), and San Diego Christian College (3.36) round out the GSAC All Sports Award standings. 

Schools are awarded 8 points for winning the conference title, 7 points for placing second and so on down the line.  Schools are also given one point for each sport they sponsor in the conference.  The total points are then divided by the number of sports to arrive at the scoring average. This is the sixth year Duke's in Huntington Beach has been a partner with the conference and sponsored the award.
