Arizona Christian earned its first victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Nelson (AZ), improving to 1-1-1 overall. The Firestorm set season highs with nine points, three goals, three assists, 23 shots and eight shots on goal.

Jose Garcia finished with three points on a goal and an assist, while Josh Flanagan recorded two assists. Raul Aranda produced six shots, and Emiliano Vega made two saves.

Garcia now has 47 career points, three shy of 50, and entered the career top 50 at No. 47. He also has 13 career assists, two away from 15. Arizona Christian faces Oregon Tech on Thursday and Southern Oregon on Friday.

Benedictine Mesa played Oregon Tech to a 2-2 draw, moving to 0-1-1 overall. The Redhawks set season highs with six points, two goals, two assists, 15 shots and eight shots on goal.

Kobe Bewicke and Shay Carey scored for Benedictine Mesa, while Andronikos Nicolaou and Franco Marambio recorded assists. Pol Bistue led the attack with five shots.

Benedictine Mesa ranks third in the GSAC with 1.50 assists per game.

Embry-Riddle went 0-1-1 during its Oregon trip, falling 2-1 to Southern Oregon before playing Oregon Tech to a 2-2 draw.

Christopher Cruz scored in both matches and finished the week with two goals, four points, eight shots and five shots on goal to earn GSAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. His performance included four shots in each match and three attempts on goal against Oregon Tech.

Nitai Bental enters the week with 96 career shots and 46 shots on goal, leaving him four shy of both 100 shots and 50 shots on goal. Embry-Riddle returns to action Monday against Nelson (AZ).

Hope International opened its season 2-0 with victories over Pacific Union and Westcliff. The Royals defeated Pacific Union 3-0 before earning a 2-1 road victory against Westcliff.

Matthias Alcaraz scored three goals across the two matches, including two against Westcliff, and finished with six points. Hope International leads the GSAC with 22.00 shots per game and a 0.50 goals-against average. The Royals also rank in the conference top three in goals, points, shots on goal, corner kicks and save percentage.

Hope International faces College of Idaho on Friday before meeting unbeaten La Sierra on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. PT.

La Sierra improved to 2-0 with a 2-1 victory over Pacific Union. Daniel Garcia and Elias Quintanar Macias scored for the Golden Eagles, with Quintanar Macias providing the game-winning goal.

La Sierra leads the GSAC with 3.00 goals, 10.50 shots on goal and 6.00 corner kicks per game. The Golden Eagles also rank second in points per game, shots per game, goals-against average and save percentage.

Angel Ayon made three saves against Pacific Union. La Sierra faces Bethesda on Friday before meeting fellow unbeaten Hope International on Tuesday.

OUAZ went 0-1-1 last week, playing Evergreen to a 1-1 draw before falling 2-1 to Northwest.

Daniel Coke scored against Evergreen, while Harry Dwelly found the net against Northwest. Mason Whisler led the Spirit with five shots against Northwest, and Jack Murdoch made three saves in the match.

OUAZ ranks fourth in the GSAC with a 1.25 goals-against average and .688 save percentage. The Spirit return to action Thursday against Justice.

Park Gilbert split its two listed matches, falling 2-0 to Caltech before rebounding with a 4-3 victory over Justice to improve to 3-2 overall.

The Buccaneers matched season highs with 12 points, four goals and four assists against Justice. Brody Donovan recorded two assists, while Anton Aaltonen contributed three points and the game-winning goal. Nicklas Lagesen made five saves.

Lagesen now has 82 career saves, 18 shy of 100, and eight career goalkeeper wins, two away from 10.

Soka opened its season with a 2-1 victory over Westcliff.

David Olivas and Hope Suka scored for the Lions, while Bryce Lanton recorded an assist. Jacob Warren was the standout defensively, making nine saves to earn GSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Soka leads the GSAC with 9.00 saves per game and a .900 save percentage and ranks third with a 1.00 goals-against average. The Lions return to action Sunday against Stanton.

The Master’s split its two matches last week, falling 5-1 to CSUN before responding with a 7-1 victory over College of Idaho.

Trent Rickard scored four goals in the win over College of Idaho and finished with eight points. The Mustangs set season highs with 20 shots, 13 shots on goal and nine corner kicks in the victory.

The Master’s now leads the GSAC with 2.33 assists and 7.67 points per game and ranks second with 2.67 goals per game. Rickard has 35 career goals, which ranks No. 6 on the career list provided, along with 79 career points and 85 shots on goal.

The Master’s faces Southern Oregon on Thursday and Oregon Tech on Saturday.
