Redhawks Sweep MSUN in 3 Sets

The Benedictine Mesa Women’s Volleyball team swept Montana State University-Northern in three sets, with the final set scores 25-20, 25-18, and 25-22. 
 
Benedictine Mesa came out strong in their match against Montana State-Northern, dominating the first set with a series of powerful kills and blocks. Hailey White and Gracelynn Nez set the tone early, landing consecutive kills with assists from Railey Druxman and Hattie Patton, pushing Benedictine Mesa to a quick 4-0 lead. Despite a brief comeback attempt by Montana, Benedictine maintained their momentum, extending their lead to 18-10 after a series of Montana errors and a relentless offensive push from Kylie Bartel and Jewel Carling. Montana tried to rally late in the set, narrowing the gap to 24-20, but a final kill by Druxman, assisted by Bartel, secured the set for Benedictine Mesa at 25-20.
 
In the second set, Benedictine Mesa continued to assert their dominance. They jumped to an early lead, capitalizing on Montana’s attack errors and showcasing strong performances from Bartel and Druxman. Montana managed to stay close, but Benedictine pulled ahead thanks to a series of kills from Bartel and Druxman, closing the set at 25-18.
 
The third set was a closer contest, with both teams trading points early on. Montana took a slight lead at 5-3, but The Redhakws quickly tied it up with block from Druxman and White and kills from Druxman. The set remained tight until Benedictine Mesa broke away with a series of kills from White and Bartel, ultimately closing out the match with a 25-18 victory in the final set, completing the sweep against Montana State-Northern.
