Nearly Identical Days Equals 4-0 Trip To Tucson

Tucson, Ariz.- Thanks to nearly identical offensive performances after driving down and back to Tucson two days straight, Arizona Christian rolled 4-0 in the Tucson Invitational.  The Firestorm scored 10 runs and then four runs on Friday with the same totals again on Saturday.

  • Claire Buckley (1-2 game) tripled for ACU's only multi-base hit

  • A four run first would have been enough
  • Hipolito had a 5 RBI day thanks to a pair of triples that scored Schleisman and Covalt both times
  • Miles doubled home a run
  • Buckley homered and doubled
  • Smith earned her tenth win of the season with a 10 strikeout performance
 
Inside Game v Siena Heights
  • The only time ACU trailed all weekend was 1-0 through two and 2-1 after three
  • Covalt reached on a fielder's choice to tie the game and pulled off a double steal with Schleisman to push ACU ahead in the fourth
  • Terzakos capped the scoring with a double to plate Hipolito
  • Lawson earned her second complete game win of the weekend
