IRVINE, Calif. - Fourth-seeded Embry-Riddle advanced in the 2026 GSAC Softball Championship with a 4-1 win over top-seeded Arizona Christian on Tuesday afternoon at Great Park Sports Complex, sending the Eagles to Wednesday’s semifinal at noon against Hope International.

Arizona Christian struck first in the bottom of the first inning when Dayna Herrera lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing home Rachel Martin for a 1-0 lead. Embry-Riddle answered in the top of the second. Katie Jamieson lined an RBI single up the middle to score Anise Romo and tie the game, then the Eagles steadily took control with one run in the fourth, one in the fifth and one more in the sixth.

She worked around six walks and threw 138 pitches to secure the complete-game win. Arizona Christian pitcher Alyssa Grinstead also turned in a strong outing despite the loss, striking out 12 over seven innings while allowing four runs on eight hits.

Jamieson finished with two hits and two RBIs in a two-run game for Embry-Riddle, while Clark went 2 for 3 with a triple and a run scored. The Eagles collected eight hits and left nine runners on base.
