The 2022 Golden State Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament which will run November 10th throught the 12th will be hosted by OUAZ this Fall in Faith Arena.
The tournament will feature the top six teams from the GSAC regular season standings. The top two seeds in the tournament, #1 Westmont and #2 Jessup, will receive a opening-round bye. Westmont finished the regular season as the GSAC Champions and secured the first conference bid to the NAIA National Championship. The #3 seed in the tournament is Vanguard and they will face #6 The Master's in the opening round. The #4 seed is Life Pacific and they will face #5 OUAZ who is the tournament host. The opening round will be played on November 10 with matches at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (MST). The semifinals will be played on November 11 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (MST). The championship match will be played on November 12 at 6:00 PM (MST).

OPENING ROUND RECAP
#4 Life Pacific - 3, #5 OUAZ - 1
The Warriors advanced past host OUAZ in the GSAC opening round in what was a tightly contested match. Life Pacific was led by Mackenzie Grooms (11 kills) and GSAC Player of the Year, Hannah Caddow (9 kills and 16 digs). The Warriors won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-22 before dropping the third set to the Spirit 25-27. LPU would bounce back in set four and seal the deal with a 25-22 victory. #4 Life Pacific will now face top-seeded Westmont in what will be a battle of the Warriors!
#3 Vanguard - 3, #6 The Master's - 1
The Lions took down the Mustangs on Thursday night in the GSAC Opening Round. Vanguard won the first two sets by a score of 25-21 and then went on the drop the third set. The Lions would bounce back in the fourth set with a 25-22 victory and advance to tomorrow's semifinals. GSAC Freshman of the Year, Morgan Cole, recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs. Delaney Hill led VU with 14 kills of her own.
SEMIFINAL RECAP
#1 Westmont - 3, #4 Life Pacific - 2
Westmont College took the victory in a five-set battle of the Warriors on Friday afternoon. The Warriors from Santa Barbara won sets two, four and five to claim the first spot in the GSAC Championship match. Lexi Malone paced Westmont with 19 kills while hitting .514 %. Phoebe Minch recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 16 digs.
#2 William Jessup - 3, #3 Vanguard - 1
It was a night of Warrior victories in Surprise as second-seeded Jessup knocked out third-seeded Vanguard in four sets on Friday night. All-GSAC outside hitter, Marina Gonzalez, was a stud for Jessup with 17 kills and 13 digs. Mallory Pazin also recorded a double-double with 22 assists and 10 digs. Jessup will now get a date with Westmont on Saturday night in the championship match which will be another battle of Warriors.
CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
#2 William Jessup - 3, #1 Westmont - 0
In quite possibly their most dominating performance of the season, Jessup swept Westmont to claim the GSAC Women's Volleyball Tournament Championship. Marina Gonzalez led the Warriors from Rocklin with a match-high 13 kills. Madalyn Miller again was right behind her with a dozen of her own. Jessup outscored Westmont 75-48 in Saturday's conference championship. The Warriors finished with nine more kills, seven more aces, and four more blocks than their counterparts from Santa Barbara. With the conference championship comes an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. Westmont also earns an automatic bid to the NAIA Tournament as the GSAC Regular Season Champions. Who both Warrior teams will play next, and where, remains to be determined.
