OUAZ enters the 2026-27 Great Southwest Athletic Conference men's golf season as the clear preseason favorite after receiving nine of the 10 first-place votes in the GSAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Spirit totaled 81 points to claim the top position, while Embry-Riddle received the remaining first-place vote and finished second with 71 points. Arizona Christian was selected third with 57 points, one point ahead of The Master's in fourth.

Benedictine Mesa placed fifth with 48 points, followed by Simpson with 42, Park Gilbert with 33 and La Sierra with 27. Hope International received 26 points, while Soka completed the 10-team poll with nine.

Seven returning All-GSAC players were reported by member programs entering the season, while 34 top-five scorers return across the conference. At least 75 returning players were identified through submitted roster totals.

The conference field includes 10 programs competing throughout the 2026-27 season for the GSAC men's golf championship. Each program selected two golfers expected to make an impact during the 2026-27 season. Players to Watch are program nominations and are not preseason All-GSAC selections.

Tyler Tamayori and 2026 GSAC Freshman of the Year Jonathan Tso headline the Eagles' returning group, while Robert Brackett and Jeremy Reynolds also return. Embry-Riddle did not lose a player from last year's roster.

Jaxon Pearson of Vail, Arizona, joins the program as the lone notable newcomer. With complete continuity throughout the lineup, the Eagles enter the season positioned to contend near the top of the conference.

Jonathan Riley, Brock Auclair, Arjin Yalcinkaya and Luke Dickinson headline the returning group. The Firestorm must replace Hudson Hobbs and Apollos Morris.

Newcomers Wyatt Montoya, Satchel Tickel, Stephen Paul and Zach Ewing add depth to the roster. Arizona Christian also welcomes back two regular members of the top five who missed time with injuries in 2025 and enters the season with the goal of becoming a nationally ranked top-25 team.

Returning All-GSAC selections Jacob Janho and Wes Opliger lead the veteran group, while Charlie Pollock also returns. The Mustangs must replace Seth Bishop, Rye Winans and Nathan Blackburn.

Titus Johnson, Brady Barrington, Zeke Prociw, Carson Coker and Isaiah Reddicopp are among the newcomers. Lone senior Wes Opliger will lead a young roster focused on daily improvement and positioning itself to contend for the conference championship in the spring.

  La Sierra enters 2026-27 with a veteran roster after losing only one player from last season. Seven players return, including four of the team's top-five scorers.

Returning All-GSAC player Kyle Harford leads the group alongside Ky Stopp and Tyler Cole. Ryker Lazo is the lone notable departure and will remain with the program as a graduate assistant.

Cade Carpenter and Mt. San Jacinto College transfer Maclain Brigham join the roster as newcomers. The Golden Eagles will lean on their continuity and experience throughout the season.
  Hope International enters 2026-27 under a first-year head coach with six returning players and three top-five scorers back.

Evan Lambert and Dominick Rivera headline the returning group, while Caeden Cheah is the most notable departure.

Noah Neuschwanger and Kaden Robinson join the program as newcomers. With new leadership and several additions, the Royals expect to field a competitive team.
  Soka returns all five of its top scorers from last season and did not report losing a player from the roster.

Ethan Tseng and Joaquin Belmonte headline the returning group and were selected as the Lions' Players to Watch.

Elijah Delacruz joins the program from Franklin High School in Elk Grove, California. No additional team outlook was submitted.
