Grinstead Helps Firestorm Sweep Spirit

Waddell, Ariz.- With first place up for grabs in the GSAC standings, Alyssa Grinstead led the way for Arizona Christian to sweep OUAZ on Friday with a win in game one and a save in game two.  ACU rolled in game one before falling behind 5-0 in game two but completing the comeback victory.

  • After going scoreless in the first three innings, Arizona Christian erupted for a seven spot in the fourth
  • ACU sent 11 batters to the plate as Bradford started the comeback with a 2 RBI single
  • Landeros dropped down a bunt single to cash in Glory Estabrook
  • An error continued the inning and McCracken delivered a double with the bases loaded to score all three
  • Pearson helped her own cause with an RBI single to cap the scoring in the fifth
  • OUAZ loaded in bases in the seventh and Grinstead went back to the circle and struck out the final out on three pitches
