This week’s conference honors highlight dominant pitching performances, explosive offensive production, and standout efforts across multiple sports. From baseball and softball to volleyball, tennis, and flag football, several athletes delivered performances that helped lead their teams to key victories. These awards are presented by Athletic Solutions. 
Baseball Player of the Week
Evan Vander Valk – Park-Gilbert

Senior outfielder Evan Vander Valk powered the Buccaneers’ offense during a four-game series against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Arizona). The Chandler, Arizona native finished the weekend hitting an impressive .583, collecting seven hits in 12 at-bats while driving in three RBIs, scoring three runs, and drawing three walks.
Vander Valk’s biggest performance came in Park-Gilbert’s 8–5 win, where he went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, and two RBIs to help spark the offense. His consistent presence at the plate led to a .667 on-base percentage and .667 slugging percentage across the series.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Carson Stoller – Embry-Riddle (AZ
)
Freshman pitcher Carson Stoller delivered a dominant outing in a win over Park University Gilbert, earning the weekly pitching honor.
The Phoenix native tossed a complete game, working seven innings while allowing just five hits and one run. Stoller struck out six batters and finished the game with a 0.00 ERA, helping secure a 4–1 victory for the Eagles.
Softball Player of the Week
Brianna Humphries – OUAZ

Redshirt junior infielder Brianna Humphries had a breakout week at the plate for Ottawa University Arizona, helping the Spirit post a 5–1 record, including three conference wins.
Humphries hit .500 (9-for-18) across six games, blasting two home runs while driving in six RBIs. She also recorded a .591 on-base percentage and an .833 slugging percentage.
Since returning to the lineup following the basketball season, Humphries has helped spark the Spirit offense, as the team has gone 7–1 with her back in the batting order.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Claire Streeter – Embry-Riddle (AZ)

Senior left-hander Claire Streeter delivered one of the most dominant pitching weeks of the season for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Streeter went 4–0 across four starts, throwing 23 innings while allowing just six hits and one earned run for a remarkable 0.30 ERA. She struck out 35 batters, averaging more than 10 strikeouts per seven innings.
Her performances included multiple complete games and a shutout, showcasing her ability to control games from the circle.
Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Trace Oswald – The Master’s

Sophomore outside hitter Trace Oswald led the offensive charge for The Master's University, averaging 5.57 kills per set during a pair of conference victories.
Oswald posted a career-high 28 kills against Arizona Christian University, averaging 7.0 kills per set in the four-set win. He finished the week with 39 total kills, along with 12 digs, two aces, and two blocks.
Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week
Matthew Hamm – The Master’s

Senior setter Matthew Hamm orchestrated the offense for The Master’s with 82 assists across two matches, averaging 11.71 assists per set.
Hamm recorded a season-high 52 assists in a four-set win over Arizona Christian University. He also contributed eight digs, three blocks, and an ace during the week.
Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week
Preston Schmidt – The Master’s

Junior libero Preston Schmidt anchored the defensive effort for The Master’s, finishing the week with 23 digs and just one serve-receive error.
Schmidt also added six assists and three service aces, continuing his strong play along the back line.
Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week
CC Maccagnano – Arizona Christian

Sophomore quarterback CC Maccagnano helped lead Arizona Christian University to a 37–6 victory over Benedictine University Mesa, marking the first win in program history.
Maccagnano completed 16 of 32 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns, while also adding 16 rushing yards on the ground.Flag Football
Defensive Player of the Week
Shana Hunton – Arizona Christian

Freshman linebacker Shana Hunton made a huge defensive impact in the Firestorm’s historic win over Benedictine University Mesa.
Hunton recorded 11 flag pulls, becoming the first player in program history to reach double-digit tackles in a game.
Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Hugo Abril – Arizona Christian

Senior Hugo Abril led Arizona Christian University during a successful road trip in Tennessee, going undefeated in singles and doubles play.
The Barcelona native posted dominant straight-set wins against University of Tennessee Southern, Cumberland University, and Bethel University Tennessee, helping the Firestorm secure two team victories during the week.
Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week
Isabela Rodriguez / Ashlan Van Groningen – The Master’s

The duo of Isabela Rodriguez and Ashlan Van Groningen continued their impressive season for The Master's University, improving their season record to 8–2.
The pair helped lead their team to 5–0 wins over Hope International University and Life Pacific University. Their only losses this season have come against the top two ranked teams in the NAIA, while their victories include wins over NCAA Division I and Division II opponents.
