The GSAC has announced its 2025–26 Winter Sports Scholar-Athletes, honoring 107 student-athletes across men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s swim & dive. The award recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence in both academic achievement and athletic commitment across the conference’s winter championship sports.

To be eligible for selection, nominees must meet GSAC’s academic standards, which include being a sophomore or above in academic standing, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale—without rounding—and satisfying enrollment requirements. Student-athletes must have completed two full semesters at their current institution if they began as non-transfers, or one full year of attendance if they enrolled as transfer students. Each institution verifies eligibility according to its internal GPA calculation policies prior to nomination.

This year’s Scholar-Athlete class features representation from all 11 GSAC member schools, highlighting the conference’s continued academic success across its winter programs. Arizona Christian led all institutions with 21 honorees, followed by The Master’s (14) and Park Gilbert (13). OUAZ added 11 selections, while Embry-Riddle (7), Hope International (7), Life Pacific (7), and Soka (7) each contributed strong totals. College of Idaho recorded six honorees alongside La Sierra (6), Benedictine Mesa added five, and Simpson rounded out the list with three.

Recognition extended across all four winter sports, with women’s basketball leading the way with 49 Scholar-Athletes. Men’s basketball followed with 22 honorees, while women’s swim & dive accounted for 19 selections and men’s swim & dive added 17.
Academically, the group continued to demonstrate a high level of achievement. Seniors led the way with 45 selections, followed by 32 juniors and 24 sophomores, along with six graduate students, reflecting strong experience and leadership within the group.

Among all recipients, 15 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.00 GPA, while an additional 30 achieved a GPA of 3.90 or higher, underscoring the strong academic performance across the conference.

The GSAC congratulates all 107 individuals selected as 2025–26 Winter Sports Scholar-Athletes for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence in the classroom and in competition. A complete list of honorees is available here.
