Recap

The Buccaneers broke out the lumber in both games, but got off to a hot start in game one scoring 15 runs in six innings to win 15-2 in seven due to the 10-run mercy rule.

The Bucs scored four runs with two outs in the first on three hits, 2 walks and an LSU error. The Bucs would add solo runs in the second and four innings shoehorned in between three runs in third, fifth and sixth innings.

KJ Ward made only his second start of the season in a nine-inning game and saw the most run support he has received all season. In his previous seven starts, the Bucs scored a total of 25 runs in the games Ward had started, an average of 3.5 runs per game.

Ethan Osness closed things out with two scoreless innings.

In game two the Bucs jumped ahead 5-0 in the first and added another in the second for a 6-0 lead.

La Sierra did not go away adding three runs in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit in half.

After the Eagles scored solo runs in the fourth and fifth innings to cut the lead to one, the Bucs added three insurance runs in the sixth to bump the lead back to four.

The Buccaneers would need those insurance runs as the Eagles added a run in the sixth.

In the seventh, Park fans had to hold their breath as La Sierra had runners on the corners with two outs in the ninth, but Spencer Jacobs induced a fly out to end the game.
