This week’s GSAC honors highlight standout performances across multiple sports, as student-athletes delivered big-time efforts in crucial matchups. From record-setting performances on the volleyball court to dominant outings in basketball, baseball, and softball, these players played key roles in their teams’ success and championship pursuits. These weekly awards are presented by Athletic Solutions.
Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Avery Jackson, The Master's University
Sr., G – Dallas, TX
Avery Jackson delivered an explosive two-game stretch to earn Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors. The senior guard averaged 28.0 points per game while shooting a blistering 62.5 percent from the field and 52.6 percent from three-point range.
Jackson’s week was highlighted by a sensational 40-point performance in a 113-80 win over Park University Gilbert. He shot 14-of-18 (77.8%) from the floor and knocked down 8-of-12 from beyond the arc, showcasing elite efficiency and perimeter dominance. He added nine rebounds and three assists in the victory.
Earlier in the week, Jackson scored 16 points against Benedictine University Mesa, contributing seven rebounds and steady playmaking. Over the two games, he totaled 56 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists while averaging 34 minutes per contest. His scoring punch and efficiency fueled The Master’s offensive attack in a critical stretch of conference play.
Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
CJ Fisher, Hope International University
Sr., F – Fontana, CA
CJ Fisher anchored the Royals on the defensive end, totaling eight steals and 15 rebounds to help secure road victories and clinch a share of the GSAC regular season title.
In a 94-86 win over Park-Gilbert, Fisher recorded three steals, eight rebounds, and 17 points — his third-highest scoring output of the season. He followed that performance by tying a career high with five steals in a 76-64 victory over Ottawa University Arizona.
Fisher averaged 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game across the two contests, while committing just two total turnovers. His disruptive perimeter defense and ability to generate transition opportunities proved pivotal in both road wins.
Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Ysabel Puente, Life Pacific University

Ysabel Puente powered the Warriors offensively, averaging 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in a split week.
Puente opened with a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 57-49 win over La Sierra University, shooting 50 percent from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. She followed that with 23 points and six rebounds against Arizona Christian University, converting a perfect 8-of-8 from the stripe.
For the week, Puente shot 94.4 percent from the free-throw line (17-of-18) and logged 76 total minutes, demonstrating endurance and consistency as the focal point of Life Pacific’s offense.
Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Emily Till, Arizona Christian University
Sr., C – Canon City, CO
Emily Till dominated the paint on both ends of the floor, averaging 15.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game while helping Arizona Christian to two decisive victories.
Till opened the week with 14 rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block in a 71-43 win over La Sierra. She followed with a commanding 16-rebound performance against Life Pacific, adding 18 points and three assists in a 67-60 win.
Across the two games, Till totaled 30 rebounds (20 defensive), five steals, one block, and 10 assists — all without committing a single personal foul. Her interior presence and all-around efficiency were instrumental in the Firestorm’s success.
Baseball Player of the Week
Cole Rohlmeier, The Master's University
Jr., IF – Meridian, ID
Cole Rohlmeier sparked The Master’s offense in a perfect 4-0 week, batting .529 (9-for-17) with a home run, seven RBI, and five runs scored.
Rohlmeier recorded multiple hits in three of the four games, including two separate three-hit performances. In a 13-2 win over Bethesda University, he went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBI. He added three hits in a 3-2 win over Simpson University.
He finished the week with a 1.403 OPS, .579 on-base percentage, and .824 slugging percentage while committing no errors in the field.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Frank Wierman, Arizona Christian University
Sr., P – Surprise, AZ
Frank Wierman delivered a dominant outing on the mound, striking out 14 batters over 7.0 innings in a 2-1 win over Spring Arbor University.
Wierman allowed just one hit and one run while issuing two walks, finishing with an 18.0 strikeouts-per-nine innings rate. He posted a 1.29 ERA and an exceptional 0.43 WHIP in the victory, serving as the catalyst in a tightly contested matchup.
Softball Player of the Week
Dayna Herrera, Arizona Christian University
Jr., P/3B – Albuquerque, NM
Dayna Herrera guided the Firestorm to a 4-1 week with excellence at the plate and in the circle.
Offensively, Herrera went 11-for-18 (.611) with a home run, five RBI, and a .889 slugging percentage. She collected 10 hits in her final 12 at-bats of the week, including back-to-back four-hit performances against Simpson.
In the circle, Herrera earned a win and did not allow an earned run across 9.1 innings, striking out 13 batters and posting a 0.00 ERA for the week.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kaitlyn Maaske, Hope International University
So., P – La Verne, CA
Kaitlyn Maaske turned in two strong performances at the NAIA SB Invitational, going 1-1 with 11 strikeouts over 13.2 innings.
Maaske earned a win against No. 25 Evangel University, allowing just one run in 6.2 innings. She also threw a complete game in a narrow 1-0 loss to No. 6 Grand View University, striking out seven and allowing only one run.
She concluded the week with a 1.02 ERA and 1.17 WHIP, proving herself against nationally ranked competition.
Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Trace Oswald, The Master's University
So., OH – Cypress, CA
Trace Oswald was dominant in a pair of wins over NCAA Division II Vanguard University, hitting .479 with 28 total kills.
In a four-set victory that set a new NAIA record of 33 consecutive wins, Oswald recorded a career-high 18 kills while hitting .484. He averaged 4.00 kills per set for the week and added three assists, two service aces, and two total blocks.
Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week
Matthew Hamm, The Master's University
Sr., S – Fresno, CA
Matthew Hamm orchestrated the Mustang offense with precision, averaging 11.71 assists per set across two wins over Vanguard.
Hamm tallied 40 assists in a three-set road sweep and followed with 42 assists in a four-set home victory that extended the program’s record-setting win streak. He totaled 82 assists over seven sets while contributing 12 digs and steady defensive play.
Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week
Isaac Seltzer, The Master's University
Sr., OH – Santa Ana, CA
Isaac Seltzer showcased his all-around impact in two victories over Vanguard, finishing the week with 34 kills, 12 digs, and six total blocks.
In the four-set home win that secured the NAIA record for consecutive victories, Seltzer posted a career-high 21 kills while hitting .436 and adding five total blocks. For the week, he averaged 4.86 kills per set and hit .419, anchoring both the Mustang attack and defense.
