Glendale, Ariz. –  Behind a pitcher's duel and an early spark at the plate, Arizona Christian University secured a 2-1 victory over Spring Arbor. Offensively, the Firestorm totaled four hits, with Austin Kirkpatrick's home run, Kolten Lindstrom adding a triple and Luke Zuromski and Marcellus Cueva each contributing base hits. While runs were limited, the Firestorm capitalized early and played error-free defense to protect the lead. Frank Wierman was electric on the mound, turning in one of his strongest performances of the season. He struck out 14 batters over seven innings, allowing just one hit and one run. Wierman faced constant pressure in a tight contest but consistently won key at-bats, helping the Firestorm maintain their early advantage.

Inside The Game
  • The Firestorm wasted no time getting on the board. In the bottom of the first inning, Austin Kirkpatrick delivered the decisive swing of the game, launching a two-run home run to center field that also scored Brayden Bennett. The blast gave ACU a 2-0 lead — and it proved to be all the run support the pitching staff would need.
  • Spring Arbor managed its only run in the seventh inning on a solo home run, cutting the deficit to 2-1. However, ACU's bullpen locked things down from there.
  • Ty Howry pitched a clean eighth inning, and David Gordon II earned his fourth save of the season with a dominant ninth inning, striking out three to close out the victory.
  • ACU won the game, 2-1.
