Emotional Win In Return To GSAC

Surprise, Ariz. - Trailing after one quarter, Arizona Christian found their rhythm and won the last three quarters to earn an emotional win on Saturday afternoon.  The win sends ACU to 3-1 in GSAC action.

  • The first ten points of the afternoon resulted in four lead changes
  • Schwab scored four of the first six ACU points
  • Tied at 15-15, the Spirit outscored the Firestorm 10-3 to end the first quarter
  • Despite outsourcing OUAZ 20-14 in the second quarter, ACU still trailed 39-38 at the break
  • Till contributed 17 first half points
  • Addison Neal forged a 44-44 tie with a jumper two minutes into the third quarter
  • A free throw from Till gave the Firestorm the lead until two minutes remained in the contest
  • Neal broke the tie for good with 86 seconds left before the final whistle
  • ACU made five of six free throws with Neal adding a layup while holding OUAZ scoreless in that final span
  • Both teams made 22 field goals with ACU holding a 24-14 edge in made free throws 
  • Till produced her tenth double-double of the season
