GSAC Announces Players of the Week- November 24, 2025

The Great Southwest Athletic Conference has announced its Players of the Week following standout performances across men's basketball and women's basketball. These awards are presented by Athletic Solutions. 
MBB Offensive Player of the Week – Mahlik Lindsey, Park–Gilbert (Gr., G – Milwaukee, Wisc.)
Graduate guard Mahlik Lindsey delivered an explosive offensive week for Park–Gilbert, averaging 33.0 points per game while shooting 54.5% from the field and 57.1% from three. He shattered the school’s single-game scoring record with a 41-point masterpiece against Justice, going 11-of-18 from the floor, 4-of-7 from deep, and 15-of-16 at the line while adding four rebounds and two steals. Lindsey followed that with 25 points in a tough matchup against Benedictine Mesa, again leading the team in scoring and contributing six boards and three assists. His 66 total points, elite efficiency, and back-to-back high-impact performances solidified him as Park–Gilbert’s unstoppable offensive engine for the week.
MBB Defensive Player of the Week – Jasper Reinalda, La Sierra (Sr., C)
Senior center Jasper Reinalda anchored La Sierra’s interior defense with a dominant two-game stretch, averaging 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 1.0 steal per contest while shooting an exceptional 85.7% from the field. He opened the week with a monster 17-rebound, 6-block performance in a win over Bethesda, controlling the glass with 15 defensive boards and altering shots all night. Reinalda remained a force against Hope International, securing 10 boards, adding two steals, and protecting the rim with another block. His 27 rebounds and seven blocks across 76 minutes highlighted his commanding presence and made him the clear defensive standout.
WBB Offensive Player of the Week – Allie Cummings, Park–Gilbert (Jr., G – Billings, Mont.)
Junior guard Allie Cummings powered Park–Gilbert to a perfect 2–0 week as the team’s leading scorer in both contests, averaging 15.5 points while knocking down six total three-pointers. She opened with 15 points against Stanton, hitting three threes in just 14 minutes, then followed with a season-high-tying 16 points in a tight win over Benedictine Mesa, adding four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Across the week, Cummings shot 36.4% from the field and continued to provide reliable perimeter scoring, proving to be the Bucs’ offensive spark in both victories.
WBB Defensive Player of the Week – Alynna Palacios, Park–Gilbert (Sr., F – Honolulu, Hawaii)
Senior forward Alynna Palacios delivered a stellar defensive week for Park–Gilbert, amassing 25 rebounds and 12 steals across two wins while leading the team on the boards in both contests. She dominated against Stanton with 14 rebounds—10 of them offensive—and four steals, marking her season high and coming just two boards shy of her career best. Palacios then erupted for eight steals and 11 rebounds versus Benedictine Mesa, disrupting passing lanes and cleaning up the glass throughout the night. Her relentless energy, defensive awareness, and rebounding control made her the defining defensive presence of the week.
