The Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) has announced its 2025–26 Fall Sports Scholar-Athletes, honoring 241 student-athletes across men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball. The award recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence in both academic achievement and athletic commitment across the conference’s fall championship sports.

To be eligible for selection, nominees must meet GSAC’s academic standards, which include being a sophomore or above in academic standing, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale—without rounding—and satisfying enrollment requirements. Student-athletes must have completed two full semesters at their current institution if they began as non-transfers, or one full year of attendance if they enrolled as transfer students. Each institution verifies eligibility according to its internal GPA calculation policies prior to nomination.

This year’s Scholar-Athlete class features representation from all 10 GSAC member schools, showcasing the academic strength spread across the conference. Embry-Riddle (AZ) led all institutions with 48 honorees, followed by Park Gilbert (33), Arizona Christian (32), Soka University of America (27), and The Master’s University (25). Additional honorees came from OUAZ (22), Hope International (18), Benedictine Mesa (15), La Sierra (12), and Life Pacific (9).

Recognition extended across all five fall sports, with men’s soccer and women’s soccer each producing 71 Scholar-Athletes, the largest totals of any sport. Women’s volleyball accounted for 50 selections, while men’s cross country featured 29 honorees and women’s cross country added 20.

Academically, the group demonstrated impressive achievement. A total of 99 seniors, the largest class represented, earned distinction, accompanied by 69 sophomores, 67 juniors, and six graduate students. Among all recipients, 33 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.00 GPA, while 81 achieved a GPA of 3.90 or higher, reflecting exceptional academic performance across the conference.

The GSAC congratulates all 241 individuals selected as 2025–26 Fall Sports Scholar-Athletes for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence in the classroom and in competition. A complete list of honorees is available here.
