GSAC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team & Award Winners Revealed by Conference

The GSAC announced its 2024 Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team and award winners on Monday afternoon. The Master’s picked up two awards as Grace Colburn was named the Player of the Year, and Annett Davis was voted as the Coach of the Year.

Katie Rolle from Embry-Riddle was named the Setter of the Year with Hattie Patton from Benedictine Mesa chosen as Libero of the Year. Freshman of the Year went to Lilly Knight from Life Pacific.

GSAC coaches vote on the All-Conference team, which consists of 14 student-athletes regardless of position. Coaches are not able to vote for their own players.

Colburn finished the regular season leading the GSAC and ranking fifth in the NAIA with an average of 4.60 kills per set. Her .274 hitting efficiency ranks her seventh in the conference. She has recorded 10-plus kills in a match 17 times, with five matches with at least 20 kills. Colburn is third in the conference with 0.63 aces per set while recording 12 double-doubles. The GSAC named Colburn the Attacker of the Week five times.

Rolle averages 9.11 assists per set, running the Embry-Riddle offense that posts 12.02 kills per set. Her 884 total assists are the most in the GSAC this season. She has tallied at least 20 assists in a match 17 times and seven times gone for at least 40 assists. Rolle was named GSAC Setter of the Week four times this season.

Patton has snagged 500 digs and averages 5.38 digs per set on the season. She has finished with double-digit digs in all but two matches she played while recording at least 20 digs in a match 13 times. Patton had 44 digs in a 3-2 win over The Master’s on October 4, which led to her being named the GSAC Defender of the Week. She also provides the Redhawks with 0.23 service aces per set.

Knight completed the season with 2.05 kills per set and a .194 hitting efficiency. She finished with double-digit kills three times, and seven-plus kills in 11 of the team’s final 12 matches.

The Master’s led all GSAC schools with four selections to the All-Conference Team. Benedictine Mesa and Embry-Riddle had three each.
