Spirit Hit Century Mark for Third Time

SURPRISE, Ariz. - The OUAZ Men's basketball team improved to 17-6 overall and 9-5 in conference play with an impressive 100-73 win over Life Pacific University on Thursday night.  It's the third time this season that the Spirit topped the century mark. OUAZ was led in scoring by seniors McKay Bundy (25 points) and Josiah De'laCerda (23 points), while seniors Keshawn Bruner and Devin Collins controlled the boards with 13 a piece.

Still In The Hunt
OUAZ is still in the thick of things in the GSAC race as the win last night moved the Spirit back into a two-way tie for second with Hope International at 9-5. The Spirit will have two of its final four games at home, including the regular season finale against ACU.

Protecting Home
8-2 at home this season, the Spirit are a combined 24-8 (.750) inside Faith Arena the past three years. They have won four of their last five at home.

Coming Up Next
The Spirit will host its second to last home game of the year when Vanguard University (11-10 overall; 5-8 GSAC) comes to town on Saturday afternoon. VU is coming off a 83-60 loss at Arizona Christian on Thursday night. Tip off is set for 2 pm (MST) and can be seen via live stream.

Last Time vs. Vanguard
OUAZ used 50 points in the paint and 11 points from six offensive rebounds to notch a 79-65 win over Vanguard at Orange Coast College. At the time the 55.6% from the floor was the second-best shooting game of the season for the Spirit.
