The Golden State Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference team was released on Thursday morning and it is headlined by Jo Krumsvik of Menlo College. The Oaks actually swept all the "of the Year" awards. Roy Rosenberg, an outside back, was selected as the Freshman of the Year. The Oaks leader, Keith Lambert, was voted by his peers as the GSAC Coach of the Year. The All-Conference team is voted on by GSAC coaches and consists of the top 22 players in the conference.
Jo Krumsvik had a stellar season in the net for the Menlo Oaks. The senior goalkeeper was recognized as the GSAC Player of the Year for his outstanding performance. Krumsvik has only allowed seven goals all seven and has a save percentage of 84%. The senior had two games this season where he recorded double digit saves (10 against TMU and 11 against Hope International). In 12 matches he's recorded 37 saves and has a goals allowed average of 0.58.
His teammate and fellow defenseman, Roy Rosenberg, was selected as the GSAC Freshman of the Year. Rosenberg has 14 starts for the Oaks during his freshman season. The outside back has scored three goals and recorded three assists during the 2023 season. All nine points have been scored in conference matches. Rosenberg and two other defenders were all selected to the All-GSAC team.
Keith Lambert has led the Menlo Oaks to a GSAC regular season title for the second time in program history. The lone regular season title for the Oaks was back in 2016. Lambert and the Oaks have not lost all season and currently sit at 9-0-5 heading into the conference tournament as the #1 overall seed and #25 in the NAIA.
