Junior shortstop Isaiah Lane was electric at the plate in Hope International University’s four-game sweep of The Master's University, batting an eye-popping .545 (6-for-11) with six runs scored and three RBI.
Lane reached base at a .706 clip during the series and delivered his biggest performance in the 11-4 series-opening victory, going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and two RBI. He recorded at least one hit in every game of the series and crossed the plate three times in the finale.
In addition to his offensive production, Lane showcased his all-around skillset by drawing three walks, stealing three bases, and playing flawless defense at shortstop. He finished the week with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage across 16 total chances, helping anchor the Royals defensively during the sweep.
