Alli VanKooten anchored The Master’s defense with a dominant presence in the paint, averaging 11.5 rebounds per game, including 18 defensive boards, during two conference victories. Her physicality and positioning allowed the Lady Mustangs to control the interior, limiting second-chance opportunities and setting the tone defensively. VanKooten also chipped in offensively, averaging 10 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Defensively, VanKooten was nothing short of elite. She recorded five blocks and four steals over the two games, increasing her conference-leading block total to 31, which is 10 more than the next closest player in the GSAC. Her rim protection and defensive instincts consistently altered opposing game plans, making her a cornerstone of The Master’s success and one of the most impactful defensive players in the conference.
