Eric Blackwell was a steady and efficient presence for Benedictine Mesa, contributing on both ends of the floor during the Redhawks’ two conference victories. Offensively, the senior guard was highly effective, averaging 14.5 points per game while shooting an outstanding 75 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range. His 21-point outing against Life Pacific showcased his shooting touch, as he knocked down five triples to help BMU secure a comfortable win.
Blackwell’s impact extended beyond scoring, particularly on the defensive glass. He led the team with 10 defensive rebounds against Life Pacific and followed that performance with five rebounds against OUAZ, three of which came on the defensive end. His ability to rebound from the guard position provided valuable second-chance prevention and helped Benedictine Mesa control tempo in tight moments, most notably in the Redhawks’ narrow 76–74 victory over OUAZ.
