Eryn Burke Award Athlete of the Month Week Of 4/2/2024 Sport Women's Track and Field School Vanguard Year Junior Position Hometown Yucaipa, CA High School Eryn Burke set two school records and hit four NAIA "A" qualifying times to highlight the month of March. She lowered her own school record in the 200 meters from 24.31 to 24.38, winning among a field of 43 competitors at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational. The field included several athletes from NCAA Division I member Navy. She ran the second leg on the 4x400 relay team, which shattered the previous VU record of 3:48.40 by more than four seconds. Elizabeth Betten, Burke, Brooke Dalgity and Jordyn Burke clocked a winning time 3:44.32, which leads the country by nearly three seconds. Eryn also ran the 400 meters in a nation's best 55.39 seconds, finishing the race second only to Navy's Taylor Woodworth (54.67). At the Team For Titus and Ely Invitational, she joined forces with Jordyn Burke, Dalgity and Betten to finish with the third-fastest time in school history, winning in 46.58 seconds.
