Tugce Canitez averaged 27.0 point and 16.5 rebounds as No. 4-ranked Westmont continued its 15-game winning streak with 2 GSAC wins last week. In the win at Fresno Pacific, the junior forward had 30 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. In the win against Point Loma Nazarene, she had another double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Canitez ranks third in the GSAC and tenth in the NAIA in scoring (18.8 ppg), and she also ranks second in the GSAC and twelfth in the NAIA in rebounding (10.0 rpg). She has tallied 11 double-doubles and averages a double-double.

Rhett Beal ~ Point Loma Nazarene
Senior ~ 6-3 ~ Guard ~ Cameron Park, Calif.
Senior guard Rhett Beal scored 43 points (21.5 ppg), grabbed 10 rebounds (5 rpg), dished out 8 assists (4 apg), and had a block and a steal as Point Loma Nazarene split its games against 2 teams ranked in the top 15 of the NAIA. He scored 14 points in a narrow 79-76 loss to No. 7-ranked Concordia. Beal then posted 29 points, 6 boards and 5 assists as the Sea Lions topped No. 12 Westmont 82-68 on the road, doing most of his scoring damage at the line as he made an impressive 22 of 24 free throws.

Amber Williams ~ Azusa Pacific
Sophomore ~ 6-0 ~ Center ~ Claremont, Calif.
Amber Williams scored 51 points (25.5 ppg) and grabbed 33 rebounds (16.5 rpg) as No. 13-ranked Azusa Pacific won both of its conference games last week. She shot 16-for-35 (.457) from the field and 19-for-23 (.826) at the line. The senior center recorded double-doubles in both games, with 30 points and 19 rebounds at Point Loma Nazarene and 21 points and 14 rebounds against San Diego Christian. Williams leads the GSAC in scoring and rebounding and now has a total of 12 double-doubles for the season. Williams was named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Junior ~ 6-5 ~ Guard ~ Dallas, Texas
Preston Branson averaged 23.5 points and 3 rebounds as Westmont split its conference games last week and currently is in a tie first place. For the week, he shot 15-for-27 (.556) from the field, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range, and was 15-for-18 (.833) at the line. The junior guard led the Warriors to a rare road win at No. 6-ranked Concordia with a season-high 35 points, making 12 of 14 (.857) from the floor, which broke Concordia’s 24-game home winning streak. Branson ranks first in the GSAC in overall scoring at 17.3 points per game.
