Point Loma Nazarene
The Azusa Pacific men’s and women’s track and field teams each won their respective meets at the 2009 GSAC Track & Field Championships which were hosted by Point Loma Nazarene on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25.

Senior Jen Whitten led Azusa Pacific to 4 victories on the week, including the program’s first sweep of No. 3-ranked Point Loma Nazarene in 9 years. For the week, she was 7-for-15 (.467) at the plate with 3 runs, a double, 2 RBI, and 2 stolen bases.

Senior Jimmy Mittleberger was 9-for-14 (.643) at the plate with 5 runs, a double, 2 home runs, and 12 RBI as Concordia won 3-of-4 games last week. In the win at La Sierra he was 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored, 2 home runs and 7 RBI. In the sweep of California Baptist, Mittleberger was 5-for-7 (.714) at the plate with 2 runs, a double and 5 RBI.
