Biola Women’s Tennis Serves

Biola women's tennis team helps with clinic
On September 27, Coach Dee Henry and several players from the Biola women’s tennis team partnered with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to provide a tennis clinic to patients who have recently lost limbs due to cancer. The clinic, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, was held on the courts of Santa Ana College. Junior Kelsey Wirt tallied 23 kills (3.8 k/g) with a .370 hitting percentage, 17 digs (2.8 d/g), 4 assist blocks, and 3 aces as NAIA No. 10-ranked Vanguard won both of its GSAC matches last week. In the 3-game sweep of No. 3-ranked Concordia, she had 13 kills in 23 attempts with no errors for a .565 attack percentage, as well as 7 digs, 3 aces, and 4 assists. In the victory at Hope International, Wirt had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
