The defending national champion Concordia Eagles improved to 9-2 all-time in the NAIA First Round on Thursday morning, March 14, as they defeated No. 12-seed William Carey, 96-82, in the 76th annual Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship First Round from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO. Concordia (23-10) will advance to the second round and play on Friday at 12:15 pm against Culver-Stockton (MO), who upset No. 5-seed Lewis-Clark State (ID).

Kansas City, Mo. -- On Wednesday, Hope International made their debut in the Buffalo Funds NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship count with a win. They beat number 16 seed Emmanuel College 80-62. Junior Jeremy Kilgore scored a team high 20 points. Sophomore Austin Sanford scored 15 points while grabbing a game high 16 rebounds.

For the fourth straight year, the (RV) Concordia Eagles are headed back to the GSAC Tournament Championship game. This year's berth was clinched on Saturday night, March 2, as Concordia went into Santa Barbara and beat the tournament's No. 1 seed Westmont, 80-77. This year's Eagles squad has certainly had their trials, but the GSAC Tournament Championship will still come through the reigning NAIA National Champion Eagles.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Number three seeded Arizona Christian University (19-8), ranked 24th in the NAIA National Top 25 Coaches' poll, defeated The Master's College (16-14), 84-72, in a GSAC Men's Basketball Tournament first-round game, Thursday, Feb. 28, at Fultz Memorial Gymnasium on the ACU campus in Phoenix. KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Peter Smith of Concordia has been named the NAIA National Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Smith was selected based on his performances from Feb. 18 - 24 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings. Smith is the first GSAC player to win the award in the last two seasons.
