SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYERFreshman ~ 5-5 ~ Midfielder/Forward ~ Irvine, California Freshman Danielle Dintino recorded her first collegiate hat trick, scoring all 3 of Vanguard's goals unassisted in a 3-0 win over Trinity International IL. She also scored a goal in the Lions' 3-0 win over Oklahoma Christian. Vanguard and both of its opponents for the week received votes in the most recent NAIA women's soccer ranking. He had a pair of saves in the Cougars' 4-0 win over Cumberlands KY, then helped keep No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson KY scoreless through all of regulation and over 17 minutes of overtime before Azusa Pacific scored for the victory, its first-ever over Lindsey Wilson away from home. SETTERKAYLA VAN DUYN Senior ~ 5-7 ~ Setter ~ Ripon, California Senior setter Kayla Van Duyn helped California Baptist win all 3 of its matches last week with 128 assists (10.7 a/g), 19 digs, 4 aces, 4 kills, and an assist block. Her top performance was 53 assists, 2 kills, and an ace in the 4-game win at No. 2-ranked Concordia. Van Duyn was selected as the NAIA Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week. VOLLEYBALL
LIBEROMALINDA REESE ~ Westmont College Senior ~ 5-7 ~ Libero ~ San Carlos, California Sophomore libero Malinda Reese posted 82 serve receptions without an error last week, including 55 on the road against top-ranked Fresno Pacific. She also tallied 70 digs (10.0 d/g) for the week. The only error recorded against her last week was one of 25 serve attempts. In the game against The Master's, Reese surpassed the 2,000 digs mark and has extended her Westmont record to 2,057. Reese leads the nation with 8.46 digs per game.
