forward Joanna Idom scored a hat trick against NCAA Div. II Cal Poly Pomona as No. 23-ranked California Baptist won the game 3-0.  The Lancers have opened the season with a 3-game winning streak.  Idom was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

forward Jennifer Love scored all 3 of her team's goals as Hope International defeated 2 NAIA Region II teams on the road last week.  In the win at Bethany, she scored 2 goals.  Then in the victory at Dominican, Love scored the game's lone goal.  Love was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

forward Amy Lawson recorded 7 points in Westmont's 4-2 victory at Menlo last week.  Lawson had a "hand" in every goal with an assist in the first half and a hat trick in the second half as Westmont came back from a 2-1 halftime deficit.  Lawson was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

forward Bridget Brotherton scored 3 goals last week as No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific defeated both of its Top 10-ranked opponents at the Lady Flames Classic hosted by Lee in Cleveland, Tennessee.  In the win at No. 6-ranked Lee TN, Brotherton had 2 goals to give Azusa Pacific a 2-0 advantage in their 3-2 overtime win.  She then scored the game-tying goal with less than 4 minutes to play to spark a 2-1 comeback victory over No. 4 Lindsey Wilson KY.  The wins extend Azusa Pacific's regular-season unbeaten streak to 26 games. Brotherton was selected as the NAIA Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

forward Christine Grover scored 6 goals last week as No. 7-ranked Point Loma Nazarene defeated both of its GSAC opponents.  In the 6-1 win at San Diego Christian, Grover scored a school-record 5 goals.  In a shutout of The Master's, she scored another goal to bring her total to 12 points for the week.  Grover now has 13 goals in 8 games this season.  Grover was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Senior goalkeeper Marissa Swift made 12 saves of 13 shots on goal in 186 minutes of play last week as No. 25-ranked Vanguard split its GSAC games.  Swift wrapped up her fifth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win against Concordia saving 2 shots on goal.  She kept the Lions in the game at No. 2 Azusa Pacific with 10 saves, before the Cougars scored on a free kick 6 minutes into the first overtime to break the scoreless tie.  Swift was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
