STEPHANIE HANNEMANN ~ Azusa Pacific University
Freshman ~ Midfielder ~ Claremont, CA
Freshman Stephanie Hannemann scored the first and last goals to lift No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific to a 3-0 win over NCAA Div. II No. 9-ranked Cal Poly Pomona at home last week. Hannemann scored in the fifth minute and then again in the 70th minute. She has 3 goals in her first 2 collegiate games. Hannemann was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Sophomore ~ Forward ~ Danville, California
Sophomore Michelle Fry scored 3 goals and 1 assist as Christian Heritage won 2-of-3 games on the road last week. In the 3-2 win at Dominican, Fry scored 1 goal. In the 6-0 victory at Menlo, she recorded 2 goals. In the 2-1 loss at CS Monterey Bay, Fry assisted on the Hawks' lone goal.

Junior ~ Midfielder ~ Sierra Vista, Arizona
Jeana French scored 2 goals and and an amazing 9 assists last week. She assisted on Hope International's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Occidental. Then in Hope's 17-0 win against Menlo, French scored 2 goals and assisted on 8 others. She broke the GSAC record for assists in a game and for points in a game with 12 points. The Royals also broke GSAC team records with 12 goals in the first half and 13 assists in a game. Hope's 47 points in a game (17 goals, 13 assists) tied the GSAC team record for points in a game with Biola who set the record the day before against Menlo.B

Junior Erin Lea scored 3 goals as Concordia won all 3 of its games last week. In the 2-1 win against Alliant International, she scored the game-winning goal in overtime. In the 3-0 victory at CS Monterey Bay, Lea scored 2 goals. Concordia also defeated No. 15-ranked Notre Dame de Namur to remain undefeated at 7-0 this season. The Eagles have a 10-game winning streak dating back to October 20, 2001. Lea was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Junior ~ Forward ~ Visalia, California
Jackie Jewell scored 5 goals and assisted on 2 others as Point Loma Nazarene won all 3 of its games last week. In the 5-3 win against Hope International, Jewell had a foot in all 5 goals with a hat trick and 2 assists. In the 3-1 win at Frenso Pacific, she had 2 goals. Point Loma also defeated Alliant International on the road by a score of 1-0. Jewell was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
 
Octooer 14, 2002

Lea played a huge role as No. 22-ranked Concordia upset No. 1-ranked Westmont, 3-2, in overtime.  After trailing 2-0 at halftime, Concordia mounted a furious charge, which culminated in Lea's game-tying goal with 4 minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime.  Then in the third minute of the second overtime, Lea put home the game-winner for the Eagles' first-ever win over Westmont. Lea was named the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week. 
 
October 21, 2002
LAURI WRIGHT ~ California Baptist University
Junior ~ Midfielder ~ Riverside, California
Lauri Wright's free kicks guided California Baptist to an unbeaten record in 2 games last week. In the 2-1 win at Biola, Wright twice took free kicks that set up both Lancer goals, including a game-winner in the 84th minute. In the 1-1 tie with Westmont, she ended over 72 minutes of a 1-0 Westmont lead with a game-tying goal on a 20-yard free kick in the 85th minute to send the game to overtime. She ended the week with 1 goal and 2 assists. Wright was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Sophomore ~ Forward ~ Bleiswyk, Netherlands
Rianne Schorel scored 3 goals and assisted on another goal as Biola won both its GSAC games last week to move into a 4-way tie for fourth place in the GSAC race going into the final week of the regular season. In the win against Point Loma, she scored the game-winning and only goal. In the win at Hope International Schorel recorded 2 goals and an assist. She has now tied the Biola record for most goals in a season and set a record for points in a season with 34. Schorel was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Erin Arbizu recorded 3 goals and 4 assists to lead Azusa Pacific to 2 wins and its 3rd straight GSAC Championship. Arbizu was involved in 7 of the team's 12 goals. In the win against The Master's, she had 1 goal and 3 assists. In the win at Christian Heritage, Arbizu scored 2 goals and assisted on another. Arbizu was chosen as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
