September 11, 2000
JANEE' ANDRE ~ Westmont College
Freshman ~ Forward ~ Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Freshman Janee' Andre scored 3 goals and had an assist last week as No. 1-ranked and NAIA defending champion Westmont defeated 2 ranked teams. In the win over No. 21 St. Mary NE, Andre recorded her first career hat trick. In the win over Trinity TX, ranked No. 11 in the NCAA Div. III, Andre assisted on the game-winning goal.

September 18, 2000
KENDRA PAYNE ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ Forward ~ La Verne, California
Senior Kendra Payne, 1998 NAIA Women's Soccer Player of the Year, scored 4 goals and had 3 assists as No. 5-ranked Azusa Pacific won both of its games last week. In the win over U.S. International, she recorded a hat trick in goals as well as assists. The 3 assists in 1 game are a school record. Then Payne scored the game winning goal to hand Chapman its first loss this season. It was also the first goal allowed by Chapman this year. Payne was chosen as the Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Betsy Nienhuis scored 5 goals as Vanguard won both of its games last week and extended their winning streak to 4 games. In the win at future GSAC member The Master's College, she scored a GSAC record-tying 4 goals. She added another goal in the win over U.S. International. Nienhuis was chosen as the Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

October 2, 2000
JANEL KADEN ~ Westmont College
Sophomore ~ Forward ~ Leucadia, California
Janel Kaden recorded 4 goals and an assist as No. 1-ranked Westmont won all 4 of its road games last week, 2 on each coast. In GSAC play, she had 2 goals in the first half at Point Loma Nazarene and then a goal and an assist in the win at Hope International. In the 3-2 overtime win at NCAA Div. II defending champion Franklin-Pierce NH, Kaden stole the ball and scored to tie the match with 43 seconds remaining in regulation. The win broke the 40-game home winning streak of Franklin-Pierce which has won 5 of the last 6 NCAA Div. II championships. Kaden was named the Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

October 9, 2000
KENDRA PAYNE ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ Forward ~ La Verne, California
Kendra Payne scored 3 goals and 2 assists last week to bring her career point total to 202, becoming only the sixth player in NAIA history to surpass 200 points. She scored both goals in the win over Vanguard, including a game-winning corner kick. She also scored the first goal and added 2 assists in the win over Concordia. Payne was named the Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Junior ~ Forward ~ Thousand Oaks, California
Chrissy Sanford scored 2 goals last week and has now scored a goal in 5 of the Cougars' last 7 games. Sanford scored the first goal in the 1-1 tie between the last 2 NAIA Women's Soccer Champions, Westmont (1999) and Azusa Pacific (1998). She also scored the first goal in the 3-0 win over Point Loma Nazarene.

Sophomore ~ Midfielder ~ Louiseville, Colorado
Kari Wilcox scored 2 goals to lead Point Loma Nazarene to wins in both of its games last week. In the win at No. 22-ranked Cal Baptist, she scored a goal. In the win against Concordia, Wilcox scored on a free kick. Wilcox was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

October 30, 2000

Freshman ~ Midfielder ~ Riverside, California
Amy Harris scored 6 goals and had an assist as Cal Baptist won both of its games in a big way last week. In the 13-0 win against Occidental, she tied a school record with 4 goals. It was Harris' first career hat trick. She had 2 goals in the 7-2 win at The Master's. Harris was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
