Sophomore ~ 5-10 ~ Outside Hitter ~ Riverside, Missouri
Kate Alderson averaged 4.6 kills with a .286 hitting
percentage, 3.6 digs and .28 blocks per game as Point Loma
Nazarene went 4-1 for the week. In the 4-game loss to No.
2-ranked NCAA Div. II UC San Diego she had 15 kills and 14
digs. The Sea Lions won all of their matches at the Crowne-Plaza
Labor Day Volleyball Festival hosted by Concordia. Some
highlights during the tournament for Alderson were 18 kills
(6.0 k/g) in 3 games against Holy Names, 22 kills (5.5 k/g)
in 4 games against Bethany, and 18 digs (4.5 d/g) in 4 games
against Carroll MT which
received votes in the NAIA preseason rankings.

Natalie Rentz recorded 197 assists (12.3 a/g), 40 digs (2.5
d/g), 13 kills and 3 aces as Point Loma Nazarene won 4 of
its 5 matches last week. In the loss to No. 2-ranked NCAA
Div. II UC San Digeo, she had 40 assists and 5 kills. In
the tournament hosted by Concordia, some top performances
for Rentz were 47 assists (15.7 a/g) and 11 digs (3.7 d/g)
against Notre Dame de Namur, 59 assists (14.8 a/g) aga |
