5-9 ~ Junior ~ Outfielder ~ San Jose, California
Tiffany Satalino was 8-for-14 (.571) at the plate as the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Point Loma Nazarene won 3 of 4 games last week to move into first place in the GSAC. She had a triple, 1 run scored and 2 RBI. In a 3-2 win over The Master's she was 4-for-5 at the plate with 1 run scored and an RBI. Satalino was chosen as the NAIA Region II Softball Player of the Week.

LESLIE LUDLOW ~ Point Loma Nazarene University
5-10 ~ Sophomore ~ RHP ~ Etiwanda, California
Leslie Ludlow recorded 2 complete-game wins last week with a 0.50 ERA. In 14 innings she gave up 10 hits, 1 earned run, and no walks,  while striking out 8. In the 2-0 win over The Master's, Ludlow took a perfect game into the top of the seventh inning, which was broken up by an infield single. She allowed only 1 hit, while striking out 7. Her season win-loss record is an impressive 11-1. Ludlow was selected the NAIA Region II Softball Pitcher of the Week.

April 2, 2001
SOFTBALL PLAYER
CRYSTAL ROBERTS ~ Biola University
6-1 ~ Sophomore ~ 3rd Base ~ Simi Valley, California
Crystal Roberts was 9-for-20 (.450) at the plate with a double, 4 runs, 8 RBI and 5 stolen bases as No. 12-ranked Biola won all 6 of its games last week. She was also chosen as the Region II Softball Player of the Week.

MANDY DOROW ~ Azusa Pacific University
5-8 ~ Senior ~ RHP ~ Hesperia, California
Mandy Dorow pitched in 5 of Azusa Pacific's 6 games last week, picking up 4 wins and a save. In 24 innings of work, she did not allow an earned run (2 unearned runs) while striking out 18 and surrendering just 10 hits. She walked 5. In the No. 8-ranked Cougars' doubleheader sweep of Cal Baptist, she pitched 2 perfect innings to record her second save of the season in the first game, and then fired 5 innings of 2-hit, shutout softball in the second game.

KRISTEN DEGREE ~ Concordia University
5-5 ~ Sophomore ~ Outfield ~ Costa Mesa, California
In 3 Concordia games last week, all of which the Eagles won, Degree was 7-for-8 (.875) at the plate and scored 6 of the Eagles' 20 runs tallied last week. She also had a pair of RBI and stole a base. In a 7-2 GSAC victory over Hope International, Degree was 4-for-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI.

5-9 ~ Junior ~ RHP ~ Tehachapi, California
Gina Liebengood was instrumental in 3 of Vanguard's 4 victories last week. She fired a pair of complete-game shutouts and pitched 3 innings of 1-hit relief. All told, in 17 innings of work, she had 13 strikes outs, surrendered just 7 hits and walked only 4. She pitched a 1-hitter in the Lions' 1-0 victory over The Master's, striking out 6 in the process. She came right back to pick up the save in the second game, striking out 3 more in 3 innings. She completed her week's work with a 5-hit shutout over CS San Bernardino.

LORNA LYTTLE ~ Azusa Pacific University
5-9 ~ Junior ~ Outfielder ~ Palm Desert, California
Lorna Lyttle was 8-for-19 (.421) at the plate with 1 double, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 9 runs scored and 10 RBI as Azusa Pacific won all 6 of its games last week. In 2 road sweeps against conference opponents, she recorded a 3-run homer against Concordia and a 2-run homer against Hope International. In the 18-2 win over Bethany she was 2-for-2 with 2 runs, 2 triples and 2 RBI. Lyttle was named the NAIA Region II Softball Player of the Week.

JESSICA LOGSDON ~ Biola University
5-11 ~ Junior ~ RHP ~ Rocklin, California
Jessica Logsdon improved her season record to 18-4 with a win and a loss and also had 2 saves as Biola won 5-of-6 games last week. In 20 innings of work, Logsdon gave up 7 hits, 1 earned run and no walks while striking out 21 batters. In a 9-inning 3-1 win at Vanguard, she gave up her only earned run of the week, but struck out 10. In a loss to Vanguard at home, Logsdon had a perfect game, facing only 27 batters with 7 strikeouts, when Vanguard scored an unearned run that came off the international tie-breaker (runner at second base). She also pitched 1 inning each against Cal Lutheran and Vanguard to record her sixth and seventh saves of the year. Logsdon was chosen as the NAIA Region II Softball Pitcher of the Week.

5-6 ~ Junior ~ First Base ~ Pleasanton, California
Jennifer Robison was 7-for-16 (.438) at the plate with 3 runs, 2 doubles, 1 triple and 6 RBI as No. 8-ranked Azusa Pacific won 4-of-6 games last week. In the win over No. 4-ranked Point Loma Nazarene, Robison hit a double, scored a run and had 3 RBI. Robison had 4 hits in 6 at bats with a double, a triple, and 3 RBI in the doubleheader sweep of The Master's. Robison was named the NAIA Region II Softball Player of the Week.

GINA LIEBENGOOD ~ Vanguard University
5-9 ~ Junior ~ RHP ~ Tehachapi, California
Gina Liebengood recorded her tenth and eleventh shutouts last week as Vanguard won all 4 of its games. She allowed only 5 hits and 3 walks in 14 innings and struck out 15 batters along the way. In the 3-0 win at Chapman, she gave up only 2 hits and struck out 8. In the win over Cal Baptist, Liebengood struck out 7 batters and allowed only 1 runner to reach third base. Her strike out total for the season is now 183 in 183 - 2/3 innings pitched.

Jessica Logsdon recorded 4 wins and 1 save as Biola won all 6 of its games last week and won its first-ever GSAC softball championship. In 26.1 innings of work she gave up 11 hits, 2 earned runs and 2 walks while striking out 11 batters. Logsdon improved her season record to 23-4 with a GSAC-leading 8 saves. Logsdon was chosen as the NAIA Region II Softball Pitcher of the Week.
