PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

IAN LEIBBRANDT ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ 6-2 ~ Forward ~ Winter Springs, FL

Senior forward Ian Leibbrandt scored 6 goals and had 3 assists for a total of 15 points as No. 8-ranked Azusa Pacific won all 3 of its games on the road last week.  His pair of goals in the season opener led the Cougars past No. 14-ranked Bethel IN, 4-1.  He then scored 4 goals and recorded 3 assists in 2 games at the Bob Baptista Invitational at Wheaton IL.  In the first game of the tournament, he had 2 goals and an assist in the 8-0 win over Illinois-Springfield.  Leibbrandt then scored twice and assisted on 2 others as Azusa Pacific defeated No. 7-ranked Judson IL, 7-1.  He is now sixth on the school's all-time scoring list with 95 career points.  He has 10 multi-goal games in his career, including all 3 matches this year.  Leibbrandt was named the NAIA Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
