Junior ~ Forward/Midfielder ~ Huntington Beach, California
Danny Collins scored 4 goals as No. 5-ranked Westmont won both its games at the Heritage Club Classic that it hosted last weekend. He scored the first and last goal in the Warriors' 5-1 win over No. 22 Baker KS. Collins then scored 2 goals in less than 2 minutes in the 7-0 win against Walsh OH. Collins was selected as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

MATT HESS ~ Vanguard University
Sophomore ~ Forward ~ Fullerton, California
Matt Hess scored all 5 of Vanguard's goals in 2 games on the road last week as the Lions ended a 4-game losing streak and began a 2-game winning streak. In the 4-1 win at Pomona-Pitzer, Hess recorded 4 goals. In the 1-0 victory at Claremont-Mudd, he recorded the game-winning and only goal less than one minute into overtime.

Matt Hess recorded 7 goals last week and earned player of the week honors for the second week in a row. He recorded 2 hat tricks and a single goal as Vanguard won 2-of-3 games. In the 3-2 loss to Occidental, he scored 1 goal. In the 7-0 win against Cal Tech, he scored 3 goals. In the 3-2 overtime victory against Pacific Lutheran WA, he scored all 3 of the Lions' goals, including his game-winning header 5 minutes into the first extra period. Hess has now scored 12 goals in the past 5 games. He was named the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

RYAN HOPKINS ~ Concordia University
Junior ~ Goalkeeper ~ Huntington Beach, California
Goalie Ryan Hopkins recorded a shutout and gave up only 2 goals as Concordia won all 3 of it soccer games last week. In 3 complete games, Hopkins had 10 saves and a 0.67 goals against average. In the wins over Alliant International and Notre Dame de Namur, he gave up only 1 goal in each game. Hopkins recorded his first shutout of the season in the victory at CS Monterey Bay. Concordia currently has a 7-game winning streak. Hopkins was selected as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Junior ~ Forward/Midfielder ~ Huntington Beach, California
Last week Danny Collins recorded 6 goals and 2 assists as No. 6-ranked Westmont won both of its opening conference games. He scored the go-ahead goal in the 2-0 win at The Master's. In the 13-1 victory against Christian Heritage, Collins scored an impressive 5 goals and 2 assists. He is only the third player in GSAC men's soccer history to score 5 or more goals in a game and is second in points in a game with 12. The 13 goals scored by Westmont is a GSAC team record. Collins was chosen as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

KYLE CARROLL ~ Concordia University
Junior ~ Forward ~ Mission Viejo, California
Carroll was solid in a pair of GSAC matches last week.  The junior forward gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead early in the contest as the No. 14-ranked Eagles tied No. 5-ranked Westmont 1-1 in Irvine.  He then assisted on both Eagle scores as Concordia defeated Biola, 2-1, in La Mirada to remain atop the GSAC standings and hand Biola its first conference loss. Carroll was chosen as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Senior ~ Forward ~ Visalia, California
Shaun Cole recorded a hat trick and an assist as Biola collected 2 shutouts last week. In the 1-0 win against California Baptist, he assisted on the game-winning goal. In the 5-0 win at Vanguard, Cole recorded the Eagles' first 3 goals. Cole was selected as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

NICK HAMMOND ~ Fresno Pacific University
Senior ~ Goalkeeper ~ Fresno, California
Nick Hammond allowed only 1 goal in 200 minutes of work as No. 19-ranked Fresno Pacific ended the week with a tie and a win. In the 1-1 double overtime tie at Azusa Pacific, Hammond recorded 7 saves and allowed 1 goal. In the win against Concordia, he recorded a shutout and made 8 saves. Hammond was selected as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Junior ~ Goalkeeper ~ Huntington Beach, California
Ryan Hopkins recorded 7 saves and didn't allow a goal in 169 minutes of work as Concordia won its last 2 games before playoffs begin. In the win against Christian Heritage, Hopkins had 3 saves in 79 minutes of play. In the win at The Master's, he had 4 saves and recorded a complete game shutout. Hopkins was selected as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
