BRETT MICHEL ~ Azusa Pacific University Senior ~ 6-5 ~ Forward ~ Simi Valley, California Senior Brett Michel averaged 16 points and 4 assists as No. 25-ranked Azusa Pacific won both of its conference games last week and extended its winning streak to 10 straight. For the week, he was 11-for-20 (.550) from the field and 8-for-9 (.889) at the line. In the win against No. 14-ranked Christian Heritage, Michel had 19 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds. In the win at The Master's, he had 13 points and converted an important 3-point play with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game. KEVIN BLOMSTROM ~ Westmont College Kevin Blomstrom averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2 assists as Westmont won both its GSAC games last week. ANDREW LASKER ~ Point Loma Nazarene University Senior ~ 6-3 ~ Guard ~ Houston, Texas Andrew Lasker averaged 19.5 points, 10 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 block per game as Point Loma Nazarene won both its GSAC games last week. In the win at Vanguard, he recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds and was the only player with double figures in any category. Lasker also scored 7 of the team's final 8 points and made a clutch steal with seconds remaining in the game. In the win against Fresno Pacific, he tallied 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. TANNER LUSTER ~ Concordia University Forward ~ 6-6 ~ Junior ~ Glendale, Arizona Tanner Luster averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds as Concordia remained undefeated in GSAC play with 2 conference wins last week. For the week, he was 13-for-22 (.722) from the field, including 1-for-1 from the 3-point line, and was 11-for-17 (.647) at the free throw line. He also had 4 assists and 2 steals. In the overtime win at Point Loma Nazarene, Luster recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. In the win against The Master's, he recorded 20 points 6 rebounds and 2 assists. JEREMY GROTH ~ Concordia University Guard ~ 6-1 ~ Senior ~ Curlew, Washington Jeremy Groth averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3 steals and 1 rebound as No. 2-ranked Concordia won both of its conference games and remains in first place in the GSAC. He was 12-for-22 (.545) from the field, including 8-for-17 (.471) from 3-point range, and was 11-for-12 (.917) at the line. In the win over No. 19-ranked Biola, he had 20 points, 3 steals and 2 assists. In the win at Fresno Pacific, Groth recorded 23 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Groth has moved into 13th on the Eagles all-time scoring list. NICK VANDER LAAN ~ Concordia University Center ~ 6-10 ~ Senior ~ Sacramento, California Nick VanderLaan recorded a double-double in both games with an average of 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds as No. 3-ranked Concordia won both of its conference match-ups and extended its winning streak to 20 games. He was 16-for-26 (.615) from the field and was 11-for-19 (.579) at the line. In the victory at Vanguard, he had 22 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. In the win against California Baptist, VanderLaan had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. VanderLaan has recorded a school-record 9 consecutive double-doubles. KELLAN ECKLE ~ Biola University Forward ~ 6-6 ~ Senior ~ Prescott Valley Kellan Eckle averaged 22.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as No. 19-ranked Biola won both its GSAC games last week. For the week, he was 17-for-32 (.531) from the field, including 5-for-9 (.556) from the 3-point arc, and was 6-for-6 at the free throw line. In the win against California Baptist, he had 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a blocked shot. In the victory over Point Loma Nazarene, Eckle had 24 points and 5 rebounds. He is currently in second place in the GSAC in scoring with 17.9 points per game. LAVAR SIMMONS ~ The Master's College Center ~ 6-7 ~ Junior ~ Nassau, Bahamas Lavar Simmons averaged 14.5 points, 9 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 2.5 assists as The Master's won both of its GSAC games last week. For the week, he shot 11-for-15 (.733) from the field and 7-for-17 (.412) at the line. In the triple-overtime win against Westmont, Simmons recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds and also blocked 6 shots. He recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds in the victory over California Baptist. BRIAN KIM ~ Vanguard University Guard ~ 6-5 ~ Sophomore ~ Langley, British Columbia Brian Kim averaged 29.5 points and 3 assists as Vanguard split its 2 GSAC games last week. For the week, he was 20-for-37 (.541) from the field, including 10-for-20 (.500) from 3-point range, and was 9-for-10 at the free throw line. In the win against Christian Heritage, Kim scored a career-high 37 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He scored 22 points, including a 3-pointer that tied the game with 3 seconds remaining, in the last second loss to No. 4-ranked Azusa Pacific. Forward ~ 6-5 ~ Senior ~ Los Angeles, California Keron Wilkerson averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2 assists per game as The Master's won both of its GSAC contests last week. For the week, he was 16-for-25 (.640) from the field and 10-for-11 (.909) at the line. In the victory over No. 2-ranked Concordia, Wilkerson recorded 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
